What information should I give Monty’s?

The more information you can give us, the easier it is for us to recommend the right product, branding option and price.

It helps to know roughly how many items you need, whether you have a logo or artwork available, when you need the finished products delivered, and whether you have a target budget per item or overall budget.

If you’re not sure about any of these, that’s fine too. We can help you work through the options.

What is the minimum order quantity for branded promotional products?

Minimum quantities vary depending on the product and supplier. Many of our products can be ordered in small quantities, while others have set minimum order requirements and may add a surcharge if you drop below this. Let us know what you need and we’ll recommend the most suitable options.

Can I order a small quantity of branded products?

Yes, in many cases we can supply small quantities. Keep in mind that branding setup costs are spread across fewer items, so the cost per item can be higher on very small runs. We can help find the most cost-effective option for your quantity.

How much does a branded promotional product cost?

Pricing depends on the quantity, product colour and branding required. To give you an accurate quote, let us know how many items you need and, if possible, send us your logo.

If you have a deadline or event date, please include that too so we can recommend options that can be supplied in time.

Does the price shown on the website include branding?

Unless specifically stated, product prices generally do not include the cost of adding your logo. Branding costs depend on the method used, the number of print colours, branding size and quantity ordered. Contact us for an accurate branded price.

Do you offer better pricing for larger quantities?

Yes. Most promotional products have quantity price breaks, so the price per item usually decreases as the order quantity increases. We can quote several quantities so you can see where the best value lies.

Can I buy products without branding?

Yes, many products can also be supplied unbranded. Let us know what you need and we can confirm availability, pricing and delivery time.

How quickly can I get my promotional products?

For unbranded products, delivery can often be within 2–3 working days.

For branded products, most orders take around 10–15 working days from order confirmation, allowing time for artwork approval, branding and delivery. Lead times can vary depending on the product, branding method, stock availability and quantity.

If you have a tight deadline, let us know. Some products are available with much shorter lead times, and in some cases we can offer an express branding service for an additional surcharge or use overnight freight to help meet your deadline.

Can you help with an urgent order or event deadline?

Yes. If you have a tight deadline, tell us the date you need the products from the start. We can recommend products and branding methods with faster turnaround times and advise what is realistically achievable.

How much notice should I allow before an event?

We recommend allowing at least 10–15 working days for most locally sourced branded products. If your event is sooner, contact us anyway, as we may have products and branding options available with a faster turnaround.

Where do you deliver?

Yes. Monty’s delivers branded promotional products, corporate apparel, uniforms and merchandise throughout New Zealand.

We can also ship orders to Australia and the South Pacific. If you already have a shipping agent in Auckland, we can send the goods directly to them and provide a zero-rated GST invoice, where the export requirements are met.

If you need an overseas order, let us know the destination, quantity and deadline and we can advise the best freight option.

How much does delivery cost?

Freight costs vary depending on the products ordered, quantity, supplier and delivery location. We’ll confirm any freight charges as part of your quotation so you know the full cost before proceeding.

Orders over $950 + GST qualify for free standard shipping to a single New Zealand delivery address. Free shipping does not include overnight, urgent or other express freight services.

How can I pay from overseas?

You can pay by international bank transfer, or by credit card through our secure Payment Express payment link. Credit card payments incur a 2.8% surcharge.

You can also use a currency transfer service such as XE if you prefer to convert and transfer funds internationally.

What artwork or logo files do you need from me?

Vector artwork such as AI, EPS or vector PDF is ideal for branding because it can be enlarged without losing quality.

A simple way to check is to zoom right in on your logo. If the edges stay sharp, it is likely to be vector artwork. If it becomes blurry or pixelated, it is probably a bitmap image such as a JPG or PNG.

Please note that saving a JPG or PNG as a PDF does not turn it into vector artwork.

If you’re not sure what you have, just send us your logo file and we’ll check it for you. If the artwork needs adjusting or redrawing, we’ll let you know before production.

Can you create a mock-up before I place my order?

Yes. We can provide a visual showing how your logo will look on the selected product. You will also receive an artwork proof for approval before your products are branded.

What branding methods are available?

Branding options include methods such as screen printing, pad printing, digital printing, embroidery, transfers, laser engraving and more. The options available depend on the product, material, artwork and quantity.

Can you help me choose the best branding method?

Absolutely. You don’t need to know which branding method you need before contacting us. We’ll recommend the most suitable option based on your product, logo, quantity, budget and the look you want to achieve.

Can you print in full colour?

Yes. Many products can be branded using full-colour digital printing or transfers. The available method depends on the product and branding area, so send us your artwork and we can advise what will work best.

Can you match our brand or PMS colours?

In many cases, yes. Some branding methods allow close PMS colour matching, while digital printing uses CMYK and may vary slightly. If colour accuracy is particularly important, let us know when requesting your quote.

Can you print or embroider text as well as a logo?

Yes. We can brand products with logos, text, website addresses, contact details or a combination of these, depending on the available branding area.

Can products be personalised with individual names?

Yes, selected products and branding methods allow individual names or other variable information to be added. Personalisation may have an additional cost, so tell us what you’d like personalised and we’ll include it in your quote.

Can you brand more than one side of a product?

Often, yes. Many products have multiple branding positions, such as the front and back of clothing, multiple sides of drinkware or several panels of an umbrella.

Additional branding positions usually incur an extra cost. However, if the branding is produced as a single wraparound print, it may be treated as one larger print rather than separate branding positions, so the cost can be the same.

We can confirm the best option once we’ve seen the product and your artwork.

What is a setup charge?

Setup charges are common with branded promotional products and cover the cost of preparing the equipment or artwork needed to apply your branding. Depending on the branding method, this might include creating a screen, setting up a print machine or digitising a logo for embroidery.

The setup charge is usually applied per design and branding position, rather than per item. For embroidery, our local embroidery supplier charges a one-off setup fee, provided the logo remains exactly the same size and colours on future orders.

We’ll include any setup costs clearly in your quote before you proceed.

Can I order a sample before placing a larger order?

Yes. Physical samples are available for many products, although there may be a product and freight charge.

If you would like a branded pre-production sample, this can often be arranged, but it may be costly because setup and branding charges still apply.

In most cases, the most cost-effective option is to view a physical unbranded sample to check the product quality, size and colour, together with a digital artwork proof showing how your branding will look before production.

If you need a branded sample, let us know and we can confirm the cost and lead time.

Can I visit your showroom to see samples or try garments on?

Yes. We have a small showroom in Browns Bay, Auckland, with a limited range of samples available to view.

If there’s a particular product, garment or style you’d like to see, it’s often easier to let us know first. We can arrange for a sample to be sent directly to you, or have suitable samples available for you to view when it suits you.

For clothing, we can also help with sizing and arrange samples where needed before you place a larger order.

Where can I find clothing size charts?

Sizing can vary between brands and styles, so each garment has its own size chart. To make sure we give you accurate measurements, please let us know the product name or style code you’re looking at.

Many products have sizing information available online, but if you can’t find it, contact us and we can provide the correct supplier size chart and help you choose the right sizes.

Can you help me choose the right product for my budget, event or audience?

Yes, this is a big part of what we do. Tell us your quantity, budget, audience, event or purpose and deadline, and we can suggest branded promotional products that suit your requirements.

You don’t need to know exactly what you want before contacting us.

Can you recommend alternatives if the product I’m looking at isn’t suitable?

Absolutely. We work with a wide range of promotional product and apparel suppliers, so the products shown on our website are only part of what we can source. If something isn’t quite right, tell us what you like about it and we’ll suggest alternatives.

Can you send me a brochure?

We have thousands of products available, so we usually use our website as our online brochure and then tailor suggestions to suit your needs.

Tell us what you’re looking for — even if it’s just a general theme, such as “promotional products for a beach event” — along with your budget and quantity if you know them. We can then search our wider supplier catalogues and send you suitable options, including products that may not yet be shown on our website.

Why are promotional products good for long-term advertising?

Useful branded products such as t-shirts, caps, jackets, drink bottles and bags can keep your company name in front of customers long after a campaign or event has finished. Unlike short-lived advertising, promotional products can be used repeatedly, giving your brand ongoing exposure.
